Commission Terms and Conditions

1. What is a Commission

Commissions are hand-drawn, original artworks in pastel media combined with some coloured pencil. I used the highest grade, light-fast materials. By commissioning a piece, you acknowledge that artisitc intepretation is part of the process.

2. Commission Process

Reference photos are required. I will work from the photos provided. We will discuss together poses, and I will send you an initial sketch for approval. After this, I will make minor adjustments if required. Due to the nature of pastels, extreme small details and exact photographic realism cannot be guaranteed. Particularly if at very small size, or working from bad quality reference photos. We will discuss this before work commences. I will send updates as I work through the piece to you, and will make up to 4 revisions on the piece once the final version picture is sent. If more changes are required, it may incur additional fees.

3. Payment Terms

In order to secure your position in the queue, a 50% deposit is required to secure a booking, which is non-refundable upon work beginning on the piece. Work on the piece cannot begin until the deposit is receieved. The remainder balance is due before shipment of the piece.

4. Refunds

Deposits are non-refundable once work on the piece begins. I reserve the right to decline or cancel a commission if it becomes clear I am unable to meet the clients expectations.

5. Shipping and Delivery

Shipping costs for the piece are separate unless stated otherwise. Delivery times are estimated, and the responsibility of the courier.

6. Copyright and Usage

I retain the copyright of all artwork produced. I reserve the right to share commissioned pieces for portfolio or promotional use unless otherwise agreed. Please let me know in advance if the commission needs to be kept a secret for a period of time - eg if it’s a gift.
