During the COVID-19 lockdown, I began teaching myself how to draw, and fell in love with pastels. As a media I loved how messy and smudgy they were, and after a time began enjoying combining them with coloured pencils to bring out the fine details.
I fell in love with drawing animals. Every animal has a character and a unique personality which I love trying to capture the essence of. Early morning sunrise walks as well as watching bird politics in the garden during lockdown really contributed to my love and fascination with drawing animals.

I’m a Berkshire-based Pet Portrait and Wildlife Artist
When I was at school, I was told I was better off when I was holding a ruler. This made me less interested in art, and I ended up choosing STEM subjects all the way through, eventually resulting in me getting a doctorate in Chemistry in 2020.
Eventually I started to get inquiries to draw pets, and other animals and really enjoyed capturing their energy and character. Every pet is beautiful and unique, and I love being able to create something special and custom for the owner, to create a lasting memory that touches their hearts.
